The Station in downtown Claresholm hosted an open house on Wednesday, Dec. 20, to show what it has to offer including its project, “Creating the canvas for inclusion and diversity”. Here, Kale Hayes of Family Ties, a service agency in Lethbridge, checks out one of the displays.

Happy new year

Paige Barnard was out at the Claresholm Arena with her daughter Jasmine Hein on Dec. 31 for the New Year’s Eve skating party. People were encouraged to dress up as they enjoyed prizes, a balloon artist, face painting, free pizza and hot chocolate, and much more to bring in the new year.

Stretched out

Willow Creek Composite High School held their annual alumni basketball tournament on Saturday, Dec. 23, attracting former and current players, as well as community members, with all proceeds going to the school’s sports society. Charity hockey game

The Claresholm RCMP faced off against the Claresholm Fire Department in a charity hockey game on Friday, Dec. 22, with all proceeds going to the Claresholm Child Care Society. Here the two teams stand together, after the RCMP skated away with a 14-5 victory.

Proposed solar farm project heard by M.D.
