Cobras beat Coaldale

The Willow Creek Composite High School senior varsity boys’ basketball team opened their season in the Deep South Conference last week with a big win over a familiar opponent.

The Cobras hosted the Kate Andrews Pride of Coaldale on Wednesday, Dec. 5, winning by a score of 81-62, after leading 41-28 at the half.

Scoring for Claresholm were Jackson Wright with 27 points; Daniel Schuepbach with 18 points; Ethan Perry with 12 points; Cole Dixon with 11 points; Daxton Woodward with nine points; and Xander Coates and Tristen O’Connor with two points each.

The next home game for the Cobras is Wednesday, Dec. 19 when Stirling pays a visit. Tip off is at 7:45 p.m.
