The Willow Creek Composite High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team posted two convincing wins to start their season in the Deep South Conference.

The Cobras hosted Picture Butte High School on Monday, Dec. 3, recording an 88-62 victory.

Scoring for Claresholm were Daniel Schuepbach with 23 points; George Wollersheim with 19 points; Jackson Wright with 18 points; Ethan Perry with 10 points; Xander Coates with nine points; Josh Hall with six points; Jakob Daikens-Peterson with two points; and Dhillon Schmirler with a point.

The Cobras were back on the court two nights later, where they defeated the Kate Andrews Pride of Coaldale by a score of 85-60.

Scoring for Claresholm were Wollersheim with 23 points; Wright with 20 points; Perry with 12 points; Schuepbach with nine points; Coates with eight points; Daikens-Peterson and Braydon Wiechert with four points each; Hall with three points; and Jackson Hamlyn with two points.

The next home game for the Cobras is Wednesday, Dec. 19 when Stirling comes to town. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
