It was seniors’ night for the Willow Creek Composite High School senior varsity girls’ volleyball team, as they said goodbye to two graduating Grade 12 players.
The Cobras hosted the F.P. Walshe Flyers in their regular season home finale on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Before the teams played though, Cobra Head Coach JoAnna Sutter recognized Sadie Lybbert and Paiton Hurlburt who, as graduating seniors, were playing their last regular season home game.
Once the festivities were concluded, the teams dug down to play.
The Cobras, facing a taller, stronger, more experienced team, dropped the best-of-five match in three straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-11.
The Willow Creek Composite High School junior varsity Cobras were also in tough but, after dropping the opening set by a score of 25-15, rallied to win the next two sets by scorers of 25-18 and 25-17.
