Stavely Education Foundation awards three $1,000 scholarships

Three former students of Stavely school were the recipients of $1,000 scholarships recently. Just before Christmas, the Stavely Education Foundation presented a total of three scholarships to students who attended the school.
The recipients were:
• Juleah Lorenz who is attending the University of Lethbridge and taking a bachelor degree in environmental science;
• Kyra MacDonald who is attending the University of Saskatchewan and taking a bachelor of science in animal bioscience;
• Jenna Nelson who is attending the University of Calgary and taking a bachelor of community rehabilitation.
The Stavely Education Foundation usually presents the scholarships at the outset of the Stavely Elementary School Christmas concert.
However, with the Christmas concert cancelled this year to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the scholarships were presented privately.
