RCMP look into cut lock

By Rob Vogt, Local Press Writer
The Claresholm RCMP are looking for the public’s help in finding those responsible for cutting a lock at the Pine Coulee boat dock west of Stavely.
On Wednesday, March 20, police were advised the lock preventing access to the boat dock on Pine Coulee was cut.
The M.D. of Willow Creek has locked the gate as the ice surface has become unsafe and there is open water on the reservoir.
Police said this is to obviously prevent another vehicle from going through the ice and creating recovery problems along with the contamination of area drinking water.
Anyone with information on this crime, or any other, is encouraged to contact Claresholm RCMP at 403-625-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) for a reward.
