The Claresholm Cobras not only had to fight the Taber Rebels but the weather as well in bantam football action on the weekend.

The Cobras hosted Taber on Saturday, Sept. 29 losing by a score of 41-0.

The Rebels scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to win the game.

Claresholm faced another bigger, more experienced opponent, as they will all year after having no bantam football in Claresholm last year.

Yet, the team continues to improve.

The running game produced some long, first-down runs, and receiver Jaxon Douglas made a beautiful catch from quarterback Logan Read that had been tipped twice.

The Cobras return to action at home on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. against the Lethbridge Junior Coyotes.
