Borrowing bylaw delayed to look at validity of petition

The Claresholm branch of the Royal Canadian Legion held their annual Flag Day at the Claresholm Cemetery on Sunday, June 3. Each year, on the Sunday before the anniversary of D-Day, which is June 6, the Legion cleans the graves of veterans buried in the cemetery and plants a Canadian flag at each one. The Claresholm Lions Club golf tournament on Sunday, June 3, at the Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club drew participants from across the region, including Eldon Hubka, here teeing off, of the Carmangay Lions. He was part of a foursome that also included Carmangay Lions Derrick Annable and Dan Greene, and Vulcan Lion Scott Mitchell.
Council refers road concerns to budget

Town council waives taxes on Claresholm Medical Clinic
By Rob Vogt, Local Press Writer Claresholm town council has agreed to waive the $6,387.79 municipal portion of taxes on the Claresholm Medical Clinic, which is owned by the Municipal District of Willow Creek. Stavely school jumps rope for heart, stroke research
By Rob Vogt, Local Press Writer Students at Stavely Elementary School took to the tennis courts last week to jump rope to raise funds for heart and stroke research.
