August 15, 1945 – January 13, 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jim McLeod, husband, father, grandfather and brother, on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at Claresholm General Hospital in Claresholm, AB.
Jim is survived by his lifelong partner Eileen; his daughter Leanne McLeod of Calgary, AB and son Neil McLeod of Red Deer, AB. Jim had one precious grandchild Kadence McLeod and step-children, Greg (Wanda) and Juanita Johnson of Stavely, AB. Jim is also survived by sisters Margaret Rarick of Millarville, AB and Eleanor McKinnon of High River, AB and was an uncle to many. Jim was predeceased by his parents Charlotte and James Smith McLeod.
Jim was raised in Turner Valley, AB and attended SAIT where he obtained Pressure B Welder Certification. Jim also worked at the family store and ranch. Later he moved to Stavely and worked on the farm showing his passion and love for his farm animals.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stavely Community Hall (5102 52nd Street), Stavely, AB.
