Happy National Newspaper week!
Since 1926 the Local Press has been Claresholm’s source for local news. A lot has changed over the years, but our goal of providing readers with the local news they need, sharing stories of our friends and neighbours, and providing advertisers with an engaged audience remains the same.
Look to us to bring you the FACTS; when you have a story to share; when you have an event you want to promote. We are here for you! We are invested in our community.
As a newspaper, we have a long history in our community. A tradition that dates back to 1926. Community newspapers are alive and well. In fact, our newspaper reaches more people in the trading area than any other news outlet. And we are survivors. We’ve survived the World Wars, the Depression, recessions; and the Pandemic.
We invest in our community by telling the stories of the people who live and work here. The hard work of our staff every week is the reason people continue to turn to us for their news and advertising.
We are engaged members of the community. Our staff members are invested in what matters. We are locally owned and produced.
Thank you to our loyal Readers and Advertisers who continue to support us! Our staff is unwavering in their commitment to making the Local Press your local resource for news and information in our community.
It is our privilege to serve the great communities of Claresholm, Granum, Stavely and the surrounding MD of Willow Creek, and we look forward to the future, striving to provide news that matters to you most!
