Chamber of commerce assists small business
By Rob Vogt
The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer-based business organization supported by its members to promote local business and ensure a strong economy.
As a local chapter of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce, its members access to a larger business community with unique benefits, programs, and opportunities.
The chamber provides a strong voice on behalf of the business community on issues such as taxes, transportation and education, which may affect your business.
The chamber provides a community of like-minded business owners who are willing to support and encourage each other through peer mentorship, sharing information and local spending.
The chamber also identifies unmet business needs and delivers timely and affordable services. Its members have access to Chambers Plan, Canada’s leading group benefit plan for 1 to 50 employees.
The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce has been a part of the business community for more than 30 years.
It is run by a board of volunteers, who are elected by its members each year at their annual general meeting.
These volunteers work tirelessly to advocate for your local business, provide you with networking opportunities, and serve our community.
They partner with the Town of Claresholm and the Economic Development Committee on projects that bring more focus to this community.
Honouring and supporting each other is important to the chamber.
The chamber also celebrates local businesses annually with its Best of Claresholm awards.
Nominees and winners are chosen by the community and celebrated by chamber members during its annual Christmas gala.
The chamber is always welcoming new members.
