Cascade of colours
The Claresholm Arts Society put on their 10th annual quilt show at the Claresholm Community Centre on May 22 and 23. drawing more than 100 visitors over two days. The theme of the show was “Scrappy’, and featured more than 130 quilts from Claresholm; Nanton; Fort Macleod; Lethbridge; Pincher Creek; Edmonton; Red Deer; Champion; Vulcan; work from students at Willow Creek Composite High School and more. The show also had representatives from Quilts of Valour and Quilts for Survivors; vendors; classes; a prize raffle; and quilt raffle. Proceeds from the show will go to two summer youth camps offered by the Claresholm Arts Society. Here, Phyllis McKinnon checks out the quilts.
