Football coaches needed

By Tim Bryson Co-coach, WCCHS Cobras football team
Going into the 2024 season, the bantam and high school football Cobras need coaches.
The bantam team has no coaches at all, so they are the group in the greatest need right now.
The bantam Cobras have played nine-a-side football for the last several years due to roster sizes in the low 20s.
The high school Cobras need an offensive line coach or a quarterback coach.
Coach Kelly Starling has been balancing working with quarterbacks, the offensive line, and being the offensive coordinator.
There is simply not enough time in a practice day for him to dedicate the time needed to these vitally important groups.
This coach should have experience playing or coaching in either of those position groups.
For bantam coaches with no experience, the high school staff is more than happy to provide guidance with practice plans, skill development and playbook ideas.
For coaches wishing to help with the high school Cobras, we are happy to look at moving the start time for practice back to 5 p.m. or later to facilitate coaches coming from work.
If you think you can help out with either team, please contact Karen Baker with the bantam Cobras at 1-403-308-7405, or Todd Lybbert with the high school Cobras at 403-682-9803, or e-mail lybbertt@lrsd.ab.ca.
