Cobras ground Flyers

The Willow Creek Composite High School Cobra girls had a big win against a traditional rival in junior varsity basketball action on Monday night.
The Cobras hosted the F.P. Walshe Flyers of Fort Macleod on Jan. 29, defeating them by a score of 54-43.
Scoring for Claresholm were Tori Stonehouse with 13 points; Ashley Mandac with 10 points; Hayley Bronson and Jessica Mackin with eight points each; Emilia Quinteros with six points; Kilee Lange with four points; Chantal Red Youngman with three points; and Annaleigh Johnston with two points.
The junior varsity team is made up of Grade 10 and 11 players.
The senior varsity team, made up of Grade 10 to 12 players, was in tough as well, losing by a score of 60-29.
Scoring for the Cobras were Hannah Leader with 11 points; Janell Lange with 10 points; Kilee Lange with six points; and Leilani Oakes and Tori Stonehouse each made a foul shot.
