Lynne Thrun passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on January 1, 2022.
Lynne was born March 11th, 1950, in Trail, British Columbia.
While her father served in the Air Force, young Lynne resided in many different places, including Marville France, Cold Lake, A.B, then in 1967 her family retired in Claresholm, A.B.
After graduation from Willow Creek Composite High School, Lynne worked at various jobs, including at Simpson Sears and for Homecare. She married young, dedicating her life to her two sons, whom she adored unconditionally.
Once her children were grown, Lynne was offered a position to manage the Claresholm 7-Eleven. Every morning she called head office to make sure that Claresholm had the lowest gas prices in Southern Alberta. After that, she managed Claresholm Pharmacy for eight years.
It was while managing 7-Eleven, she met her husband Mike Thrun. They were happily married September 13, 2003. Over the years enjoying golf, travel, gathering with friends, and especially time with family..
Lynne’s quiet and tender nature, often unnoticeably, touched many hearts.
Lynne was predeceased by her mother and father,
Violet and Hubert Ashford.
Lynne is survived by her husband Michael, her sister Debbie (Lorne) Gray, sons Tim Wardlaw (Sarah) and Cody Ashford (Tanya) and families, two step-daughters, Stacey Thrun and Nichole Thrun, step-sons Cory Thrun and Chad Thrun, and all of their families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of Lynne’s life will be announced at a later date.
