Local Press wins provincial awards

The Claresholm Local Press has been recognized as the second best overall newspaper in the province! In the circulation category of 1100-4999 they have also won second place for Best Front Page, and Best Sports Page; and first place for Best Editorial Page.

They have also been awarded 1st Place for Special Supplement or Section; 1st Place for Best Feature Story by a Local Writer for Rob Vogt’s story on Stavely’s little free Library; and 3rd Place for Effective & Original Use of Colour in Advertising by Amanda Zimmer for Casa Roma’s Smoking Hot Special ad. Rob also received honourable mentions for two more writing awards; Gordon Scott Memorial for a Local Column; and Excellence in Educational Writing.
