Local boy cleaning up Clear Lake

Cole Visser is doing his part to clean up the Clear Lake shoreline one piece of broken glass at a time.
The 10-year-old boy who goes to West Meadow Elementary School and lives at Clear Lake, has filled a jar full of broken glass he has picked up.
“He is a big fisherman,” said Cole’s mother Mireille Rigaux. “He started noticing there is a lot of glass.”
People fish at Clear Lake in the summer, and ice fish in the winter, leaving behind all kinds of garbage.
“He just wanted to clean it up because he goes down there all the time,” Rigaux said.
Cole also has another collection of ceramic pieces, and gathered up metal as well, but the family took that back for recycling.
His mother said he plans to continue on picking up the debris that litters Clear Lake.
