It was a chance to honour the seven graduating Grade 9 students from Granum School as they embark on their high school careers in the fall.
The school held their graduation on Friday, June 24, as part of the year-end assembly.
Principal Nick Beer said some of the grads had been at the school since Kindergarten, while others a few months.
“We are blessed to have every one of you in this building,” he said.
He noted the staff has seen all the grads excel in one way or another, and knows they are capable of amazing things.
“Put that full effort into everything you do,” Beer said. “We can’t wait to see.”
He encouraged the grads, when they start their new year at either Willow Creek Composite High School in Claresholm or F.P. Walshe School in Fort Macleod, to remember Granum School.
“Don’t forget about us, come back and visit us,” Beer said. “We always have time for former students.”
He also presented graduating certificates to the seven grads:
• Kyra Bremner;
• Nick Blue;
• Kyra Ewanick;
• Diego Fehr;
• Jesse Lenton Johnson;
• Chloe McDonald;
• Olivia Wojnowski.
