October 31, 1937 – May 21, 2020
Bob passed away in Claresholm on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Elizabeth Bell as well as sisters: Florence (John) Matz and Jean (Leo) Haugen. Bob is survived by his sister Anna Mae (Gordon) Mifflin as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Claresholm where he spent most of his life on the family ranch on Meadow Creek. Bob worked hard on the ranch and was committed to the care of the cows and horses there. He had a true love for his cats and dogs as well.
In 2000 Bob made the move from ranch life to town life and adjusted well to the change and new surroundings. He loved to do woodwork and enjoyed building bird houses, wishing wells and other projects with his numerous friends
As he continued to require more assistance, the decision was made in 2015 for him to move to the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre where he resided until his passing. Bob enjoyed living at the Willow Creek very much and made several new friends and connected with many of the staff. He was a gentle giant with a kind heart and big smile who will be remembered fondly by all he touched.
A Graveside Service will be held at Claresholm Cemetery on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Donna officiating.
