Multiple Fires in MD over weekend

Fire departments from Claresholm and Granum responded to a bale stack on fire about one mile west and a half mile south of Claresholm by the old dump road on Friday night, Sept. 4, at about 8:30 p.m. A total of 17 firefighters responded with six fire engines.

Upon arriving on scene they discovered half the pile on fire, so they were able to use a piece of heavy equipment to separate the pile. Crews were on scene until 4:30 a.m. putting out the fire. Photo by Amanda Zimmer

Fire located 1 mile west of Claresholm and 1/2 mile south of Hwy 520.
