The Municipal District of Willow Creek will fix a portion of the Claresholm Medical Clinic building, which it owns.
At its Oct. 14 meeting, M.D. council was advised by Chief Administrative Officer Derrick Krizsan, that the south and west sides of the medical clinic roof need repair.
He explained that Roy Johnson, the M.D.’s superintendent of public works, obtained quotes and the lowest came in at $10,605 from Integrity Roofing.
However, because the roof repair is not a budgeted item, administration was asking council to transfer the funds from the M.D.’s Claresholm Medical Centre Capital Reserve to operating to recover the cost of the repairs.
It was also noted in the quote that it was not necessary to replace the whole roof because the majority of the roof has new shingles.
Council then agreed to transfer the funds from the Claresholm Medical Centre Capital Reserve to operating.
