RCMP respond to collision

Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 in Claresholm last week.

RCMP attended a collision at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, July 15 at First Street and 49th Avenue, where a northbound van crashed into the back of a northbound BMW.

Minor injuries were sustained and one occupant was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

The driver of the van has been charged with careless driving.


Claresholm RCMP investigate break and enter

Claresholm RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a recent break and enter on the east side of Claresholm in the industrial area.

Over night between July 19 and 20, an unknown person(s) cut the chain link fence to gain entry in to the Watt and Stewart tire storage yard from the UFA card lock gas lot, then cut the shared fence between Watt and Stewart into the UFA Farm Supply yard at 4425 – Fifth Street East.

If anyone noted any suspicious activity in the back, or east grassy area of the UFA Petroleum lot, it may be useful.
