Members updated on regional meeting

Chambers of commerce around Southwestern Alberta are doing some interesting things, and representatives recently gathered to share those ideas.
The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce sent two representatives to that regional chamber meeting in Fort Macleod on April 11.
At their April 17 meeting, chamber members were updated on that regional meeting by Keith Armstrong and Tony Walker who represented the Claresholm chamber.
Armstrong shared a number of initiatives he heard about.
One chamber brought in the local RCMP to do sessions on business security.
Another chamber worked with the Livingstone Range School Division on providing opportunities for students and businesses to work together.
That chamber also hosted once a month mix and mingles with members; and has an active women in business program.
The Cardston chamber is leading an effort to keep the nearby U.S. border crossing open 24 hours a day.
It was also noted these are regular meetings, and the next one will be in the fall in Pincher Creek, with a date, time, and place to be determined.
