With residents of Claresholm heading to the polls to vote in a plebiscite on whether the town should borrow $2.8 million for construction of community multi-use buildings, there is a lot of information being presented. Members of the Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce, at their Aug. 21 meeting, were updated on some of these activities by Brad Schlossberger, a town councillor who represents the town to the chamber.
He explained a newsletter on the borrowing bylaw has gone out in the mail. The day care and playschool, who would be part of the proposed multi-use facilities, are hosting open houses on Sept. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. “
Please attend,” Schlossberger said.
Town council is hosting an open house on the multi-use facilities and changes to the recycling program on Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. the Claresholm drop-in centre. Schlossberger said he, along with fellow town councillor Kieth Carlson, will be knocking on doors regarding the borrowing bylaw.
