RCMP investigate theft

The Claresholm RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in solving several crimes, including two thefts of vehicles from their residences in Stavely.

Over night between the Sept. 26 and 27, a 2006 dark grey Ford F350 diesel was taken. The vehicle has a chrome front push bumper, chrome gravel guard, and body coloured fender flares.

The licence plate number is FAY 313.

Over night between the Sept. 27 and 28, a 2010 black GMC Terrain was taken. The vehicle has a very loud muffler and sounds like a diesel vehicle. The vehicle had a recently cleaned and polished exterior. The licence plate number is BFT 4240.

Theft from gas plant

Suspects entered the Claresholm gas plant compound some time between Sept.13 and Sept. 26 by vehicle and removed a large amount of cable along with used batteries.

Suspects entered the compound via the northwest gate along Township Road 120 closest to Highway 2.

Suspicious behaviour

On Sept. 25, police received a complaint of a suspicious person on Fourth Street West.

The suspicious person was reportedly calling a resident racial slurs, and threatening to burn property. The suspicious person was described as a Caucasian male, with a British or United Kingdom accent and was possibly intoxicated.

Stolen bicycle

Some time between June and July, a cruiser-style bicycle was stolen from a residence at the Mountain View acreages. The bike is described as a baby blue cruiser style bicycle with a kickstand.

Found bicycle

A black adult sized mountain bike, which had been located in town limits, has been turned in to the Claresholm RCMP. The owner may claim the bike by providing proof of ownership or visiting the Claresholm RCMP Detachment with a description of make/model.
