Human right complaint

On February 1 Claresholm town council directed administration to work with their legal advisors to write a response to a human right complaint filed by Councillor Donna Courage.

The motion was passed unanimously at a special meeting of council on Feb. 1, after council accepted a presentation made by Courage.

Mayor Doug MacPherson convened the meeting and council immediately went in-camera for a session that lasted more than 30 minutes.

The contents of Courage’s presentation and the human rights complaint have not been disclosed to the public.
