Art show raises funds for Child Care Society

It’s not often that a silent auction of children’s art goes for $55 and more, but those were the prices offered for some of the art created by the 47 children cared for by the Claresholm Childcare Society at its April 19 art show fundraiser.
“Each child did a picture on canvas,” said Program Director Kate Mackrel. “The bids have gone quite high.”
The art canvases were done in various styles, hung on the Claresholm Childcare Society walls and parents and members of the community bid on the art pieces on a bidding slip next to the art piece with some impressive prices resulting.
