Peewee Thunder win two weekend games

The Claresholm Peewee Thunder won both home games they played in Central Alberta Hockey League action this past weekend.

The Thunder hosted the Cardston Thunder on Saturday, Oct. 14, winning by a score of 9-3.

Scoring for Claresholm were Jaxon Auld, assisted by Nate Wright and Cheyenne Symens; Tyrel Gertner, unassisted; Cal Schmid, assisted by Auld and Nate Wright; Clayton Van Langen, assisted by Nate Wright; Auld, assisted by Zakary Wright and Owen Stewart on the power play; Nate Wright, assisted by Vann Woodman; Woodman, assisted by Kailynn Vogelaar and Auld; Woodman, assisted by Auld; and Zakary Wright, assisted by Schmid and Woodman.

The Thunder returned to home ice on Sunday, Oct. 15, where they defeated Kneehill 9-6.

Scoring for Claresholm were Nate Wright with seven goals; and Zakary Wright and Schmid with a goal each. Van Langen had two assists; while Woodman, Vogelaar, Auld, Stewart, Symens, Gertner, Schmid and Kristopher Pollard each had an assist.
