‘B’ girls edged out by Nanton

The Willow Creek Composite High School junior high “B” girls’ basketball team had a tough start to their home schedule last week.
The Cobras hosted the J.T. Foster Raiders of Nanton on Dec. 14, losing by a score of 31-12.
The Raiders led 3-1 after the first quarter; 11-3 at halftime; and 17-5 after three quarters.
Scoring for the Cobras were Dakota Van Langen with six points; Mya Auld with three points; Cheyenne Symens with two points; and Lydianna O’Neil with a point.
The Cobras hosted Matthew Halton High School of Pincher Creek on Dec. 12, where they lost by a score of 51-17.
The Hawks took control early, establishing leads of 26-6 after one quarter; 33-10 at halftime; and 44-13 after three quarters.
Scoring for Claresholm were Symens with eight points; O’Neil with four points; Kayla DieBold and Van Langen with two points each; and Auld with a point.
