Claresholm Under-18 Thunder win two weekend tiering games

The Claresholm Under18 Thunder opened tiering play in the Central Alberta Hockey League this past weekend with two big home wins.
The Thunder hosted Lethbridge White at Claresholm Arena on Saturday, Oct. 18, winning by a score of 6-1.
Scoring for Claresholm were Jace Flitton, assisted by Carson Ring and Colby Symens; Austin Davies, assisted by Grayden Desjarlais and Josh Gibson-Morrison; Grady Smith, assisted by Flitton and Seannon Ocampo; Flitton, assisted by Kashtan Beutler and Symens; Symens, unassisted; and Ring, assisted by Symens.
The Thunder were back on home ice on Sunday, Oct. 19, where they defeated Lethbridge Red by a score of 10-4.
Claresholm had goals from Blake Cisar, unassisted; Cody Tompkins, assisted by Jace Flitton and Colby Symens; Symens, unassisted; Symens, assisted by Carson Ring and Josh Gibson-Morrison; Symens, assisted by Ring and Flitton; Kashtan Beutler, unassisted; Symens, unassisted; Gibson-Morrison, unassisted; Symens, assisted by Ring; and Austin Davies, assisted by Beutler and Jace Campbell.
Tiering is the set of games to determine the league each team will play in. It is intended to ensure competitive balance, that is that teams playing each other are of roughly equal skill level.
