Tumbling Tots offered Monday mornings at Pentecostal Assembly

It’s a chance for children zero to six to have some unstructured play time accompanied by a caregiver, inside every week.
Tumbling Tots runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday mornings at the Claresholm Pentecostal Assembly. They provide the space but the program is not affiliated with the church.
The program is drop-in, offered by Claresholm and District Family and Support Services with funding from the Family Resource Network.
Barbara Bell, the director of Claresholm and District Family and Support Services, said Tumbling Tots encourages children to build relationships with their peers, caregivers and other adults.
There is a facilitator who provides information on select topics to talk to parents about. They also share activities, events, and experiences with each other, as well as prepare for special days such as Valentine’s Day and Halloween.
Bell emphasized Tumbling Tots is drop-in and free to attend.
Parents can show up and let their children play.
“It’s good for parents to connect with other parents,” Bell said, adding that is especially true for new moms who don’t know anyone in town.
Tumbling Tots is also great for mobility and helping children learn to do things.
“It’s a developmental program for kids,” Bell said. “They’re developing their large motor skills.”

“We encourage everyone to come,” Bell said.
