Municipal Government
The Town of Claresholm had previously stated council meetings would be closed to the public, however Alberta’s Municipal Government Act (MGA) Section 197 states that councils must conduct their meetings in public unless there is an exception to disclosure authorized through the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP). Keep in mind that we will continue to livestream all Council meetings. If you are feeling unwell or are currently self-isolating for whatever reason, the Town of Claresholm asks that you do not attend in person for the health and well-being of Council and staff. If you choose to attend, we ask that everyone practice safe social distancing.

Temporary Closure of the Administration Office – MD of Willow Creek.
Town of Stavely Administrative Office will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Monday March 23, 2020 until further notice.
All playgrounds and campgrounds in the MD of WC are closed, including all playgrounds in Stavely, Granum and Claresholm. Open spaces including pathways will remain open. This closure will last until such time as health officials deem them safe to open.
