Yorgason, Jack

1939-2026
At peace, Jack slipped quietly into heaven on Oct 18, 2026 after a lengthy struggle with declining health.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Pat, daughter Cheryl (Wally), son David, granddaughters Sarah (Michael), and Erin (Moe).
Jack was born in Claresholm, AB on Oct. 8, 1939.  He graduated in Agriculture from U of A in 1961. In 1965 he married Pat and they farmed and ranched in the Claresholm area from 1961 – 2003. In addition to farming and ranching he was seasonally employed as a District Agriculturist and instructor of farm management courses for the provincial government  from 1961 to 1974.
He treasured his family, community and friends, devoting countless time and support to numerous organizations. He was an active sports enthusiast but his greatest love was working the land and cattle.
In recent years the warmth and generous support of so many was a great encouragement  to him. Over the years, his family has been especially grateful for the dedication and compassion shown by the doctors and staff at the Claresholm General Hospital, the Home Care Team, and the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in providing a safe and caring environment.
In celebration of a life well lived, we will treasure his love and the countless precious memories he has abundantly left for us.
A family graveside burial service has been held at the Claresholm Cemetery.
