Waddell, Clifford

Born April 3, 1950 in Claresholm, Alberta, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.
Cliff (Two Shoes) was born to Gladys and Walter Waddell in Claresholm. He graduated high school here before completing an Agricultural Mechanics Diploma at Olds College. In his younger years he travelled and worked at a variety of jobs including deckhand on a tugboat (he couldn’t swim!), truck driver, curling rink manager, bartender and school bus driver. He continued to juggle off season jobs with farming for his entire life. Cliff was an avid motorcyclist, often skipping the rule that owning one motorcycle at a time was enough.
Cliff (Poppa) is survived by his wife Lorraine, his daughter Kelli, grandchildren Kenna and Korbin, and his dog Zyla. He is also survived by his siblings Perry, Dale, Linda, Tricia and Kathy. Predeceased by brothers Don and Bob, and his parents Gladys and Walter.
Cliff spent his last months receiving excellent, compassionate care at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre. He enjoyed his many visits from friends and family, especially those bearing ice cream, cookies or Tim Hortons coffee.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, June 26, 3 p.m., at the Claresholm Social Centre.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre or to the Claresholm Animal Shelter (CAReS)
