Livingstone Range School Division names new director of finance

The Livingstone Range School Division has appointed a new director of finance.
On Feb. 10, the school division announced that Akshit Saini, CPA has been appointed director of finance and was to begin his role on Feb. 17.
Saini holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University, a Professional Diploma in Accounting from Selkirk College, and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation from CPA Western School of Business.
He has worked as an accountant in the public sector for five years.
As director of finance Saini will be responsible for planning and directing the operations of the finance department to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
“We are happy to welcome Akshit to our Livingstone Range family,” said Jeff Perry, associate superintendent of business services. “His passion for continuous education and improvement, the initiative he has demonstrated in his past roles, and his support for and giving back to the community make him a perfect fit for LRSD.”
Saini, who grew up in a family of teachers, is excited to become part of the Livingstone Range School Division community.

Outside of work, Saini and his wife love to stay active by going to the gym, hiking, snowshoeing, and badminton.
He also enjoys playing guitar, video games, and reading in his free time.
