Hula dance

West Meadow Elementary School kicked off their Two Schools, One Book on Jan. 19, with an assembly that featured trivia, dancing and the announcement of this year’s book “The Islanders” by Mary Alice Monroe. It is an initiative the entire school takes part in with Stavely Elementary School. Since the book is set on an island in the southeast United States, hula dancing was part of the fun.
