Chamber recognizes ‘Best of Claresholm’

The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce handed out its “Best of Claresholm” awards at a mix and mingle social last week.
The sold-out event attracted 112 people to the Claresholm Social Centre on Friday night, Jan. 23, to see local individuals and businesses recognized in 10 categories.
Jordie Bronson, president of the chamber of commerce, said the awards received almost 100 nominations, which were carefully scrutinized by a panel of seven judges.
The winners were:

Home business award
• Burlcrafts, Delma Austin.
Small business award
• Gong’s Pet Supplies.
Large business award
• Claresholm Pharmacy.
New venture award
• Pro Works Rentals.
Women in business
• Nadia Lemieux, Kaz’s Service.
Young entrepeneur award
• Luc’s Leather, Lucas Marchbank.
Roots of excellence award
• Casa Roma Pizza and Steakhouse.
Employee excellence award
• James Tinning, Claresholm IGA.
