The following complaints/calls for service were made to the Claresholm RCMP Detachment during the month of November, 2025. Not every call/file is listed below, but just the most relevant ones. Some complaints received were later determined to be unfounded or not police matters.
Traffic related
• Four non-fatal traffic collisions, with two charges laid.
• Seven reportable traffic collisions, with damages over $5,000.
• Three non-reportable traffic collisions, with damages less than $5,000.
• One complaint of failing to stop or remain at an accident scene (hit and run).
• Ten complaints of speeding, with five charges laid.
• One complaint of flight from a peace officer, with no pursuit involved.
• At total of 22 complaints of other moving traffic violations, with one charge laid.
• Ten complaints of other non-moving traffic violations, with seven charges laid.
• Three complaints of intersection-related violations, with one charge laid.
• One complaint of use of an electronic handheld device/distracted driving, with one charge laid.
• One complaint of driving without due care and attention.
• One complaint of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
• One complaint under parking offences.
• Six written traffic offence warnings.
Impaired operation related offences
• One report of a possible impaired driver.
• One failure or refusal to comply with a breath demand, with one charge laid/suspension issued.

• Eight complaints under the Mental Health Act, other activities.
• Six complaints under the 911 Act, offences only.
• One complaint under the Liquor Act, offences only.
• One complaint under the Trespass Act, offences only.

• Four complaints of assault, with one charge laid.
• Two complaints of uttering threats against a person.

• Four complaints of theft under $5,000.
• Two complaints of theft over $5,000.
• Three complaints of shoplifting under $5,000.
• One complaint of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
• Three complaints of fraud less than $5,000, with one charge laid.
• Two complaints of fraud greater than $5,000.
• One complaint of identity theft.
• Three complaints of mischief, obstructing the enjoyment of property.
• Two complaints of mischief, damage to property (except motor vehicle).
• Two complaints of break and enter to a business.
Drug offences
• One report under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, other activities.
Other police activities
• Five calls for suspicious persons/vehicles/property.
• Six lost/found property complaints.
• Two breach of the peace calls.
• Seven wellbeing check requests.
• One call to assist the general public.
• Four complaints of abandoned vehicles.
• Two reports of breach of the peace.
In total, the Claresholm RCMP received 199 calls/requests for service/assistance for the month of November, 2025, with 179 of those calls being deemed as founded complaints resulting in 25 various charges being laid. A total of 63 files currently remain under investigation.
