It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Anita Walker at the age of 64 years.
Anita grew up in Saskatoon and Regina, spending many summers at the family cottage at Candle Lake before moving to Alberta where she met her husband Rick. They met while working in Banff and where Anita was Rick’s boss while working in the hotel industry, and remained the “Boss” for 40 wonderful years.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Rick Walker of Granum and daughter Brianne Walker of Lethbridge; father Guenter Lehmann of Saskatoon, SK; sister Catherine (Charles) Boehr; nieces Meagan and Paige Boehr of Calgary; brother Gerry (Kim) Lehmann of Candle Lake, SK; and Rae Lehmann of Ottawa, ON. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Susan and Tara; brother-in-law Tony; along with many nieces and nephews on the west coast, in Vancouver.
She was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Walker, mother Hanna Lehmann, step-mother Gisela Lehmann, father-in-law Tom Lancelot Walker of Southern Ireland; and mother-in-law Annette Marry of England.
Special thanks are extended to the Calgary South Health Campus, Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre and the Claresholm General Hospital for the wonderful care extended to Anita.
At the family’s request, there will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
