Volleyball boys face Blades

By Rob Vogt
Boys volleyball returned to Willow Creek Composite High School last week after an absence of years.
The Cobras hosted the Noble Central High School Blades of Nobleford on Thursday, Sept. 19, getting better with each set, but losing by a score of 3-1.
The Cobras fell behind early, losing the first set by a score 25-21, and the second set by a score of 25-15.
Then the Cobras came to life, generating offence, playing stellar defence and taking the third set by a score of 25-19.
The fourth set went back and forth, but two key points did not go the Cobras’ way, as they lost 25-21 in the set and 3-1 in the match.
Yet it was a strong return of boys high school volleyball to Claresholm
The next home game for the Cobras is Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. when the Crowsnest Consolidated High School Panthers of the Crowsnest Pass come to town.
