Under-11 Thunder win season opener

The Claresholm Under-11 Thunder sit alone atop the Tier-6 Blue Division of the Central Alberta Hockey League after the opening weekend of action.
The Thunder travelled to Vulcan on Sunday, Nov. 24, coming home with a 6-5 victory.
Claresholm jumped out a 2-0 lead with two goals by Alonso Quinteros Alvarez, one unassisted, the other assisted by Brooklyn MacPherson and Tomas Quinteros Alvarez.
However, with one second left in the first period, Vulcan scored to make the game 2-1 after 20 minutes.
After Houston Thom made the score 3-1 with an unassisted marker just over eight minutes into the second period, Vulcan struck with two goals 20 seconds apart to tie the game at 3-3.
Claresholm regained the lead before the end of the period as Alonso Quinteros Alvarez scored his third of the game to make the score 4-3 after 40 minutes.
Vulcan came out strong in the third period, scoring twice to take a 5-4 lead, only to have Alonso Quinteros Alvarez tie the game 5-5 with just over 10 minutes to play in the game then score the game winner three minutes later.
Both goals were unassisted.
Goaltender Stanley Thompson made 15 saves in net to record the win for the Thunder.
