Stavely Rodeo offers non-stop action

The 66th edition of the Stavely Pro Rodeo had three full days of roping and riding excitement.
The rodeo took place on the lands east of the Stavely Arena on June 13, 14 and 15, and the winners were:
Bareback riding
• First, Orin Larsen, Inglis, Manitoba, 86 points;
• Second, Ty Taypotat, Nanton, 85 points;
• Third, Spur Lacasse, Calgary, 83 points.
Steer wrestling
• First, Evan Spady, Alliance, 3.8 seconds;
• Second, Tanner Milan,Cochrane, 3.9 seconds;
• Second, Straws Milan, Cochrane, 3.9 seconds;
• Second, Riley Wakefield, O’Neill, Nebraska, 3.9 seconds.
Team roping
• First, Kolton Schmidt, Barrhead, and Landen Glenn, Mealester, Oklahoma, 3.8 seconds;
• Second, Logan Spady, Alliance, and Kash Bonnett, Ponoka, 4.3 seconds;
• Third, Tyce McLeod, Waldeck, Saskatchewan, and Grady Quam, Crossfield, 4.5 seconds.
Saddle bronc riding
• First, Zeke Thurston, Big Valley, 85 points;
