Perepeluk, Linda Beryl

AUGUST 31, 1946 – DECEMBER 10, 2023

Our hearts are heavy as we share with you the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend Linda Beryl (Barclay/Husberg) Perepeluk.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Thomas Perepeluk; children, Shelly, Sandra, and Sherri; and grandchildren, Michael, Shayla, Sianna, Logan Cassandra, and Paige. Linda will be greatly missed by all members of the family and friends that knew her.
Her life was taken too soon and unexpectedly as she had battled with a vascular disease these past years.
Linda lived for many years in the northern communities of Athabasca, Fort McMurray, Flin Flon and grew up in Nanton, Alberta. Living many years in the northern town of Flin Flon, Linda grew to love fishing and being outdoors. We recall laughing about how we would go out amongst the bears and mosquitoes to obtain a simple gallon container of blueberries.
Linda was a role model to her family in her diverse abilities to take on what lay in front of her. Her multitasking abilities created many opportunities for employment from being the merchandise investment manager at the Hudson’s Bay Company, to accounts payable at Syncrude Canada, to reception manager at the Athabasca Veterinary Clinic. Her love for animals was apparent as there were many rescued pets who were loved in her presence. Linda had a formidable source of energy about her. She did not like to sit still much, except when she was reading. Linda loved to read and once said she had read all the books in the Nanton and the Athabasca libraries. You would find her reading three to five books a week or more in the earlier days.
We will miss her laughter, remember her smile and hold her love in our hearts as we say goodbye. But we will never to forget her presence in our lives. We would like to thank everyone for the great care she received from the Claresholm Emergency Dept., Stars Air Ambulance, and ICU Foothills Hospital, Calgary. A Celebration of Life for the family will be held on Linda’s Birthday 2024. She was a role model, friend, and mother, and will be greatly missed.
