August 26, 1955 – January 5, 2024

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of George Reginald Morrison, who passed away at the age of 68 years, on January 5, 2024 after his battle with cancer.
George was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 26, 1955 to Bill and Florence Morrison. He was raised and attended school in Okotoks before moving to Nanton in his early teenage years.  
George had a number of jobs, but the one closest to his heart was being on the road driving semi truck. He didn’t like to stay in one place long, and this kept him on the move seeing Canada.
Later in life he moved to Claresholm to help his mother live in her own home until the end of her days. After this he decided to make Stavely his home loving the small town life. This is where he welcomed his youngest child Nevaeh into the world and the two of them lived happily.
If you saw George out and about he always greeted you with a big smile and would make time to chat.
George is survived by his children Jason Morrison, Tanya Bartsch, Kimberly Johannesson, Trina Nelson and Nevaeh Morrison; Grandchildren Jason Jr, and Joseph Morrison; Samuel, Jordan and Alexandra Bartsch, Annabelle Johannesson and Damian Nelson; Siblings Marilyn (Ken) Moyer, Brain (Bev) Morrison, Orville (Yon) Morrison, Nancy (Doug) MacPherson, Rory Morrison and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
