Junior Cobra boys beat Titans

The Willow Creek Composite High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team opened their home schedule with a win last week.
The Cobras hosted the Coaldale Christian Titans on Monday, Dec. 9, winning by a score of 69-57.
Claresholm led 30-15 after one quarter, trailed 41-39 at the half, and led 61-48 after three quarters.
Scoring for the Cobras were Briggs Baker with 26 points; Jax DeJong with 18 points; Syler Sabey with 14 points; Kael Smith with four points; Logan Hurlburt with three points; and Henry Leishman and Easton Wright with two points each.
The senior varsity Cobras had a tougher time with the Titans, who are a perennial provincial power, losing by a score of 86-71.
Scoring for Claresholm were Tyce DeJong and Zak Wright with 16 points each; Briggs Baker with 12 points; Ethan Hall with 11 points; Logan Hurlburt with six points; Jax DeJong and Hayden McClung with four points each; and Andrew Clark with two points.
