Klyne (Waggoner), Valerie Gale

October 6, 1949 ~ March 30, 2023


It is with deep sorrow that the family of Valerie Gale Klyne announce her passing Thursday, March 30, 2023, with family at her side, at the age of 73.
Val was born in Winnipeg, MB on October 6, 1949. She attended Weston Elementary School where she met the love of her life, Dennis, in her kindergarten class. Val attended Cecil Rhodes Junior High School and graduated from DMCI high school.
Growing up Val attended the Salvation Army church. Spending summers as a camp councillor, which grew her love for the outdoors.
Val purchased her first travel trailer at the age of 19, enjoying many years camping in the Whiteshell Provincial Park, where all were always welcome.
Val was married to Dennis on November 4, 1972. They celebrated 50 wonderful, loving years of marriage together.
They were blessed with a son Daniel and a daughter Dawn. Raising their children in Winnipeg, where Val worked in payroll at Fresh Water Fish. Relocating to Alberta in 1990, where she continued her career at Nova Chemicals.
They retired to Claresholm, Alberta, where she was able to live across from a farm, being able to watch horses, deer and especially foxes play and raise their young. Val treasured her final years spending time camping with family and friends.
Val was predeceased by her parents Marie and Reigh Waggoner. She is survived by her husband Dennis, son Daniel (Jenny; grandson Keith/Julia); daughter Dawn (Rod); her sisters Sharon, Bev (Garry), Grace, and brother Bill (Mary);  many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Claresholm General Hospital for their loving care and support for Val and her family.
A Celebration of Valerie’s Life will be held at Faith Community Baptist Church 4404 3 St W, Claresholm, AB on Thursday,
April 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
