October 4th, 1966 – April 15th, 2022
A branch has fallen away from the family tree. To some, it was only a branch. To those directly connected to it, it is an insurmountable loss. Though the world keeps spinning, we are left frozen in grief. On April 15th, 2022, at 3:00 am, Lonnie Kroening passed away peacefully and pain-free of breast cancer at the general hospital in Claresholm, Alberta.
The world has lost a genuinely kind, funny and compassionate woman. Lonnie Faye Kroening leaves behind her three daughters Venessa Lee, Miranda Johnson, and Katie Berg; her only grandson Gage Johnson; her three brothers Wade Kroening, Corey Kroening and Carey Lutz, and her mother and father in law Carol and Joe Halter.
“We have learned that grief is really just love. It’s all the love we want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump that forms painfully in your throat, and in the hollow part of your chest; right next to your heart”. We have become the overflowing vessels for love heavily carried, forever in our hearts.
