Connor, Catherine (Cath)

Born to life March 8, 1948. Born to Eternal Life November 30, 2021
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Catherine (Cath) Connor at the age of 73 in Granum Alberta. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
Cath was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Iris and Edward (Eddie) Williamson on March 8, 1948 where she grew up with her brother and sisters. During her teens, she volunteered at nursing homes which sparked her desire to become a registered nurse. While attending nursing school in 1967, Cath met the love of her life John. They were married on October 4, 1969 at St. Kentigern’s Roman Catholic Church in Edinburgh. 12 days later, they emigrated from Scotland to start a new life together in Calgary and raise a family.
In younger years, Cath and John both enjoyed many evenings Scottish Country dancing. Cath was deeply passionate about genealogy, and was always excited to discover a new branch on the Family tree. She loved reading a good mystery book with her furry companions. She was an active member of the Granum Historical Society, The Library Board as well as many other community groups. She enjoyed singing and would light up any room that she was in.
Cath is forever remembered by John, her beloved husband of 52 years, daughter Jacquie (Andy), son Steven (Cindy) and her grandchildren Callum, Caitlyn and Madison as well as her brother Edward (Roseanne) and sisters Maureen (Rick) and Jane (Marlene), her niece Rebecca and her nephews Mark, Fraser, Geoff and Bradley. She is predeceased by her Mother Iris and her Father Edward.
Cath loved God, her family and friends and showed us how much she loved us by being a giving loving woman. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
