March 10, 1944 – August 10, 2021
Following a lengthy battle with dementia, Patricia (Pat) Kathleen Beattie (nee Ferguson) passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta on August 10, 2021, at the age of 77.
Patricia joins her mother and father in addition to her husband, Jim Beattie in eternal peace.
On March 10, 1944, Patricia was born in Stavley, Alberta where she enjoyed the country life with her favourite dogs and horses. Patricia moved to Calgary where she met and married Jim and together they built a home and a family. Patricia worked very hard to successfully balance their family and her career. She was an exceptional person in every way and lived life with passion and vitality. Patricia was a very caring person who would always listen and extend a helping hand. She often thought of others and would do her best to make everything perfect.
In addition to being a great mom, wife and sister she found pleasure while quilting, dancing, stampeding, listening to music and skating. Together with her favourite cat Tippy, travelling, cooking, baking, playing tunes on the organ were all among her favourite activities.
Patricia leaves behind her sister Joanne (Blake) and children Ryan, Kari, and Teri-Lynn, together with several grandchildren and a
great-grandchild.
Special thanks to the staff of the Agecare Skypointe Centre for their special service, dedication and care.
A celebration of life was held Friday, August 20, 2021, at Zentner Funeral Homes in Claresholm, Alberta (4079-1st Street West) followed by burial at the cemetery in Stavely (5001-50th Ave). Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (#306, 10430 61 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta T6H 2J3).
