November 25, 1930 – December 26, 2020
James Stanley Backstrom passed away at Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre on December 26, 2020 at the age of 90 years.
He was predeceased by his son Patrick. James is survived by his loving wife Yvonne, sister Jessie Deacon, sons Brian and Perry, daughters Brenda and Wendy, step-daughter Donna and step-sons Douglas, Dean and Danny, plus 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Jim was born on November 25, 1930 in Edmonton. He worked for CP rail for 15 years in Edmonton and became a barber and retired from this career.
Jim loved to downhill ski and particularly Castle Mountain, but has skiied at Fernie, Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise as well.
Jim loved to tinker in his garage and work in his yard. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with Yvonne.
Jim was a very generous and kind hearted man and a very good husband to Yvonne.

A Private Celebration of Life was held on December 30, 2020 at Zentner Funeral Homes – Claresholm, Alberta.
